THE WALKER ART GALLERY LIVERPOOL

We visited the Walker Art Gallery as part of our studies on the theme of grids layers and reflections, and to see the entries in to the John Moores painting prize .
The first gallery was this one pictured which I personally found very bautifull having studied interior design for three years there was a great calm about this room.

We then ventured in to the swinging sixties and seventies which I remember well as my party years and we looked at the fashions from that era my friend Liz and I laughed at some of the stuff we dared set foot out the door wearing ABBA style.

After a coffee which we needed after the long walk from the coach we proceeded up the staircase(sounds like inspector Morse),to take in the brilliant and not so brilliant artworks there for all to view for free.  We had previously had a talk by Richard about all the art  that there is to see for free in the North West. and he showed us some slides ,some of which were in this exhibition, I particularly liked some of them pictured here.
